All Parish and Town Councils throughout England are required by law to hold an Annual Town Meeting or Annual Assembly which must take place between 1st March and 1st June.
This is an open meeting chaired by the Chairman of Billingham Town Council for all local government electors of the Parish. It is not a meeting of the Town Council.
The Annual Town Meeting gives all residents the opportunity to hear about what has been going on in the town, ask questions of the Council and discuss current issues. It also gives local residents the opportunity to meet their Town Councillor.
This year the Annual Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday 12th March at 6pm in meeting room C at Billingham Library and Customer Service Centre.
The Annual Report of Billingham Town Council will also be available, so come along and see what your Town Council has done for you in the past 12 months.
