Job Title: Projects Officer
Responsible to: Executive Officer & Responsible Finance Officer
Hours of work: 37 hours per week (will include evening & weekend working as part of contracted hours)
Contract: Subject to a 3 month probationary period
Salary: National Joint Council for Local Government Services (LC1 point 22 - £20,456 pa)

Job purpose

To assist the Executive Officer in the development, management and delivery of a wide range of projects and priorities on behalf of Billingham Town Council. To ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and that objectives are met.

To promote and encourage new partnerships and user groups for the community hub and other facility buildings managed by the Council in John Whitehead Park.

To supervise, guide and support Billingham Town Council’s Youth Council.

You will work closely with the Executive Officer in promoting the Council and for all PR elements within the Council including coordinating editions of the Council’s newsletters which is to be distributed to all residents. Updating the Council’s website and social media sites advertising the work of the Council and activities planned in the community buildings within John Whitehead Park (and in future any other facilities within Council’s management).
