I have been resident in Billingham 42 years

Served in the Royal Air Force Police for 23 years; various overseas postings including Aden & Northern Ireland.  After discharge I attended Plymouth Polytechnic College on six months Health & Safety Course.
Joined Trafalgar House Company as Health & Safety Adviser for 12 years then transferred over to Cleveland Bridge Structural Steel Construction as Health & Safety Manager, Founder member of the Teesside Safety Group.

Retiring from Cleveland Bridge, I set up my own Safety Consultancy Business until I finally retired 2001.

I have been a resident of Billingham almost all my life.  I spent over 30 years as a School Governor for two local schools.

I was a Vice Chair of Low Grange Community Centre for a couple of years.  

I became involved in Billingham Town Council over 5 years ago to pursue my vision to fight for a better deal for our ward and Billingham in general.

I have lived in Billingham since 1967 after living in New Zealand for 3 years.  I had a career in Instrumentation in both the UK and abroad until retirement in 2000. 

I have a Higher National Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a degree in Mathematics gained from the Open University.

I represented the Billingham North Ward on Stockton Borough Council for 17 years.  During this service I held a term as Mayor of Stockton and I am now a Honorary Alderman.

My hobby is cycling with Stockton Wheelers Cycling Club where I am the Club President and Welfare Officer.
