Community Hub

The Community Hub is adjacent to the John Whitehead Park Cafe in the Park.

This is a space available for the use of the community.

We are looking for groups to utilise the hub throughout the day, on some evenings and weekends. Any groups can utilise the Hub such as Mother and Toddler groups, Knitting/Stitching groups, Healthy Eating groups, Birthday Parties etc.

If you are a member of a group, or know a group that may be interested in utilising the Hub, please contact us.

Currently, there is a Youth Session run from the Hub on a Tuesday night from 6pm-8pm.

Young at Heart meet in the Hub every Monday 1pm-2.3-pm, they offer a range of creative, social and cognitively stimulating opportunities to local residents who have memory problems or a diagnosis of dementia.  It also offers a separate peer support group for carers of people with dementia, who can attend with or independent of the person they care for.  Carers meet at the Cafe in the Park or can use the opportunity for respite.  Attendance is free, as are the refreshments, however, we do raise fund through voluntary contributions and small fundraising activities.
