Election of a Town Councillor for

 

Billingham Town Council – Billingham Central Ward



  1. An Election is to be held of One Town Councillor for Billingham Town Council - Billingham Central Ward.

 

  1. Forms of nomination for the Billingham Town Council - Billingham Central Ward By Election may be obtained from Clerk to the Town Council, Billingham Library & Customers Service Centre, Billingham Town Centre, TS23 2LN  or from the Returning Officer, Municipal Buildings, PO Box 11, Church Road, Stockton-on-Tees, TS18 1LD who will, at the request of an elector for any electoral area prepare a nomination paper for signature.

 

  1. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, Municipal Buildings, PO Box 11, Church Road, Stockton-on-Tees, TS18 1LD on any day after the date of this notice between 10:00am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays, but no later than 4 pm on Wednesday, 22nd March 2017.

 

  1. If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 20th April 2017 between the hours of 7:00am and 10:00pm.

 

  1. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Buildings, PO Box 11, Church Road, Stockton-on-Tees, TS18 1LD by 5 pm on Monday, 3rd April 2017.

 

  1. Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Buildings, PO Box 11, Church Road, Stockton-on-Tees, TS18 1LD by 5 pm on Monday, 10th April 2017.

 

  1. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on grounds of physical incapacity or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Buildings, PO Box 11, Church Road, Stockton-on-Tees, TS18 1LD by 5 pm on Thursday, 20th April 2017.  The physical incapacity must have occurred after 5 pm on Monday, 10th April 2017.  To apply on the grounds of work/service, the person must have become aware that after 5:00 pm on Monday, 10th April 2017 they cannot go to the polling station in person.
